Jet Inc. has been manufacturing aerobic wastewater treatment systems since 1955, making them one of the longest-operating companies in the industry. Their systems are known for simple, time-tested engineering and wide parts availability. Jet systems are common in older Harris County homes built in the 1980s through early 2000s, and many are still operating well with proper maintenance.
TCEQ-Approved Jet Models
Jet offers multiple TCEQ-approved configurations including the Jet 500, Jet 700, Jet 1000, and Jet 1500 series, plus the BAT (Bio-Accelerated Treatment) line and J-Series concrete units. The Jet 500 and Jet 700 are the most commonly encountered models in residential service in our area.
Common Jet Maintenance & Repair Issues
Common Jet system maintenance items include aerator motor servicing (Jet's linear aerators are relatively easy to replace), chlorinator tube cleaning, spray head maintenance, effluent filter service, and float switch adjustment. Older Jet systems (pre-2000) may need tank riser upgrades and control panel modernization. Parts are widely available due to Jet's long market presence.

Harris County Auto-Dialer Requirement
Harris County now requires cellular auto-dialer monitoring devices on all aerobic septic systems, including Jet units. When your system triggers an alarm — high water, pump failure, aerator malfunction, or power loss — the dialer alerts our office immediately, and we are required to respond within 72 hours. Our maintenance contracts include 24/7 auto-dialer monitoring at no additional charge.
If your Jet system does not yet have an auto-dialer installed, we can install an RMSYS RMS-812 cellular monitoring device during a maintenance visit. The installation is $750 (hardware + labor), and the monitoring service is included in your maintenance contract.

All Jet aerobic systems require TCEQ-mandated maintenance every four months at minimum — Harris County requires inspections every three months (quarterly). Our maintenance contracts cover everything: inspections, county compliance reporting, 24/7 auto-dialer monitoring, and 72-hour alarm response.
