About Hydro Action Systems
Hydro Action aerobic treatment systems are a common sight in Harris County and surrounding areas. Known for their concrete construction and reliable performance, Hydro Action units have been installed in thousands of Texas homes. Their straightforward design makes them relatively easy to maintain, and their robust construction stands up well to the Gulf Coast climate.
TCEQ-Approved Hydro Action Models
Hydro Action offers TCEQ-approved models in 500, 600, 750, 1000, and 1500 GPD capacities. The standard residential models handle 500-750 GPD, which covers homes up to 4 bedrooms. Larger models are available for homes with higher occupancy or light commercial applications.
Common Hydro Action Maintenance & Repair Issues
Common Hydro Action maintenance items include aerator motor replacement, chlorinator service, spray head inspection and adjustment, electrical component testing, and sludge level monitoring. Hydro Action's concrete tanks are durable but the internal baffles should be inspected for deterioration during annual maintenance visits.
Our Hydro Action Maintenance Services
Our team services all Hydro Action models and carries common replacement parts. We maintain these systems according to both TCEQ requirements and manufacturer guidelines to ensure peak treatment performance.
Harris County Auto-Dialer Requirement
Harris County now requires cellular auto-dialer monitoring devices on all aerobic septic systems, including Hydro Action units. When your system triggers an alarm — high water, pump failure, aerator malfunction, or power loss — the dialer alerts our office immediately, and we are required to respond within 72 hours. Our maintenance contracts include 24/7 auto-dialer monitoring at no additional charge.
If your Hydro Action system does not yet have an auto-dialer installed, we can install an RMSYS RMS-812 cellular monitoring device during a maintenance visit. The installation is $750 (hardware + labor), and the monitoring service is included in your maintenance contract.
