TCEQ-Approved Clearstream Models
Clearstream's TCEQ-approved lineup includes the G-series (fiberglass), N-series (concrete), and DA-series (dual aeration) in capacities from 500 to 1,500 GPD. Common models in our area include the 500G, 500GC, 600GC2, 750GC, 1000GCD, 500N, 600NC, 750NC, and 1000NCD. The 'C' suffix indicates a chlorinator, 'D' indicates dual compartment, and 'T' indicates a trash tank.
Common Clearstream Maintenance & Repair Issues
Clearstream systems are reliable but require consistent maintenance. Common service items include aerator motor replacement (the Clearstream blower typically lasts 5-8 years), chlorinator cleaning and tablet replenishment, spray head replacement, effluent filter maintenance, and control panel diagnostics. The G-series fiberglass tanks are virtually maintenance-free structurally, while older N-series concrete units may need riser seal replacement.

Harris County Auto-Dialer Requirement
Harris County now requires cellular auto-dialer monitoring devices on all aerobic septic systems, including Clearstream units. When your system triggers an alarm — high water, pump failure, aerator malfunction, or power loss — the dialer alerts our office immediately, and we are required to respond within 72 hours. Our maintenance contracts include 24/7 auto-dialer monitoring at no additional charge.
If your Clearstream system does not yet have an auto-dialer installed, we can install an RMSYS RMS-812 cellular monitoring device during a maintenance visit. The installation is $750 (hardware + labor), and the monitoring service is included in your maintenance contract.

All Clearstream aerobic systems require TCEQ-mandated maintenance every four months at minimum — Harris County requires inspections every three months (quarterly).
